New Zealand has plenty of beautiful National Parks, each one more beautiful than the other, encompassing forests with millenary trees, mountains and fjords. In New Zealand there are no snakes or any other poisonous animals like neighboring Australia, making it possible to tread barefoot those beautiful parks delighting all the senses and of course in addition to the natural panorama, which for sure is an incredible pleasure. Abel Tasman National Park and Arthur’s Pass National Park
It is located north of the South Island, near the city of Nelson. The park offers optimal and beautiful beaches, as well as granite rocks sculpted by the action of time. It has world famous walks that border the coast. Motueka, Kaiteriteri and Takaka are the nearest towns, by buses you can access these places from all the cities mentioned above. On other side, the Arthur’s Pass National Park, located in the Alps between the city of Christchurch and Greymouth, can be visited by train or car going from any one of the mentioned cities. The park has attractions for both mountaineers who want to climb Mt. Rolleston, which has over 2225, m as well as for those who want to go on countless walks. Trails are very well marked and each one leads to spectacular places. The small village of Arthur’s Pass, is the commercial center of the area, with hostels and an amazing infrastructure that everyone must see.
Egmont National Park and Fiordland National Park
The Taranaki Volcano is the center of the park and you can freely climb to the top of it, you must be careful during winter with storms of snow and wind. For those who do not want to venture but only want to have a quiet time, spectacular waterfalls usually form at various points in the park during the thaw, or summer. The city of New Plymouth is one of the closest ones to the park, and accommodation can be obtained both in the city and in the vicinity of any of one of the 3 entrances of the park. Also, The Fiordland National Park is known as the greatest tourist destination in Milford Sounds and the park is reputed to be considered the most beautiful walk in the world.
Kahurangi National Park and Mount Aspiring National Park
Is located near the Abel Tasman National Park at the start of the South Island. There are more than 500 km of hiking trails in the park, in addition to the deepest caves in the world, opportunities to enjoy, rafting, trout fishing or kayaking. On the other side, the Mount Aspiring National Park is located between, Wanaka, Te Anau and Queenstown, next to Fiordland National Park. It is the largest national park in New Zealand with more than 350 thousand hectares. It has several entrances, for the small villas around. Many walks, mountaineering. Also, Mount Aspiring is the second largest mountain in New Zealand, as it has more than 3000 meters. At the base, the Dart River, besides it is being very beautiful, also offers fun Jet-boat rides on the river. These parks are a good opportunity to have fun and enjoy with your friends or family!
